International company specialising in commodity stock control at ports, warehouses, silos and other storage facilities. Established since 2015 in Mozambique, currently expanding in size and recruiting for a Senior Office Administrator.
Based in the Beira, the role involves a number of key administrative tasks to support operations in Beira, Nacala, Chimoio, Maputo and other locations as required:
Compile monthly attendance and overtime registers for temporary and permanent staff;
Management of office domestic staff (cleaners, security and maintenance).
Coordinate payment of staff nationally through e-banking, phone banking or cash transfer;
Manage the office cash float.
Procurement/ Logistics Support
Procure and coordinate delivery of operational equipment and stationary from approved vendors;
Procurement and distribution of cell phone airtime nationally;
Administration of office, vehicle and apartment contracts;
Coordinate travel of management personnel.
Document control, including storage and filing, for all operational and administrative documents;
Recording minutes of office meetings;
Basic translation services Portuguese-English, English-Portuguese for commercial documents.
The following skills and qualifications would be desirable in candidates:
University qualification in business administration, management, accounting or a similar discipline;
Previous experience working in a company involved with commodities testing and inspection, logistics, warehousing, shipping or port services;
Previous experience working in an international company;
Previous experience as an office administrator;
Written and spoken English and Portugese language;
Above all a flexible nature with ability to work in a young, growing local office within an international context.
